About April

I've been sewing and creating for over 20 years. I have a Master's degree in costume design and technology, and am well versed & experienced in basic and couture sewing techniques. I've taught the full range of students - from a college elective sewing class to training other professionals in new techniques. No task is too large or project too difficult, they are opportunities for creative problem solving!

I love introducing new students to the joys of sewing and hand crafts. I love the moment when they realize that they CAN do something they seems too difficult before. I love helping others hand make and create gifts for others. It's like giving a piece of yourself and your heart, and it's one of the most rewarding experiences.

I have a masters degree in costume design & technology and have over 20 years experience with sewing and crafting. I'm currently working as a designer and technician of theatrical costuming.

A brief assessment of basic skills and a discussion of learning objectives will inform our starting point. We will craft a personal curriculum for you to reach your goals!
