*Over 20 years of experience: taught in public school; 3rd grade for 7 years, special ed case manager for 3 years, substituting, tutoring, summer school

*Certified Teacher: in Elementary Education, Special Education, Reading. Master's Degree, summa cum laude

Helping student make progress is the joy of my life. I am honored to assist students in making the steps toward greater success in their learning.

I have always wanted to be a teacher, even as a child. I began by teaching preschool in the 90s as I worked on getting my degree.

I am certified in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Reading. I hold a Master's Degree in Reading and have graduated summa cum laude. I have been trained in Orton Gillingham.

About the lesson

It is important to communicate with parents as to the background and needs of students. Initial tutoring sessions will include screening to determine what the best level is for the student.

I have worked with a broad range of students, predominately in elementary school. I have also tutored students in Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School with great success.
