Although it’s been a few years since, Mr. Howie was my piano teacher for over 5 years until I was 13 or 14. Not only is he an amazing piano teacher, but my favorite comedian and part-time elephant wrangler. He is patient, kind, witty and a pleasure to be around. He is a wonderfully talented musician and teacher, so much so that I looked forward to my lessons with him every week. I can’t speak for any other teachers, but I know Mr. Howie will not disappoint.

Mr Resnick has been my boys’ piano teacher for approximately 4 years now. My boys have been progressing well under his guidance, they like working with him. Mr Resnick is kind, jokes with them and gently guides them towards improving. Under his guidance, my boys were able to pass so far 2 consecutive levels at the Royal Conservatory examinations. Mr Resnick is not only a great piano teacher but a generous soul, who likes working with kids. I strongly recommend him as a piano teacher.

I started with Howie in the second grade and loved it! He was so patient and fun. He always made jokes about song titles that got me excited about Piano class. Howie was very experienced and a great teacher, I stayed for about two years stopped because of personal reasons. I decided to pick piano back up in high school and knew that I wanted to return to Howie. I stayed with him for 2-3 more years until I graduated high school and left for college. My experience with Howie was great, he inspired me to be interested in the music. He is such a talented musician and kind soul. I would recommend him to any person of any age!

Howie has been our piano teacher for over 8 years. First with my daughter (now 13) and then with my son (now 7). Both kids have internalized the art in such a way that it is remarkable how apparent their growth is incrementally month to month, and of course- since day 1 with their teacher. This is owed to Howie’s teaching approach, which he adapts to the learning style of each of my children (as each are very different). This has been integral to their maturity with the piano, as well as Howie’s positive and fun personality! His methods are so influential and well-received that my daughter reinforces his teachings when helping her brother practice between lessons with Howie and in turn, my son is advancing expeditiously even with competing agendas and extracurriculars that limit his time on the piano. Having grown up myself with different piano teachers of various philosophies (e.g. Suzuki), it’s without reservation that I would recommend Howie Resnick to any beginner or intermediate piano student of any age.

He was very kind and caring when working with my daughter. She began with him at four years old and she thoroughly enjoyed her lessons. He made the sessions relaxed and worked at her pace. I was always present for the entire lesson and could see how well he interacted with her. Howie worked with my daughter from age 4 until about age 15. She was very sad when her lessons ended due to a heavier class schedule. My daughter is now in college, she loves singing, playing piano and is currently part of an acappella group. She credits her growth in these areas in part to Howie Resnick.
