About Marty

I enjoy teaching students to help them thrive when learning English and piano. English is a very difficult language, and I enjoy seeing students attain a grasp of the English language in speaking, reading, and writing. The piano is a wonderful instrument to master as it has been proven to help improve scores across all areas. I am a singer/songwriter, and I understand how the power of words impact the message of the speaker.

I enjoy seeing the mastery and success of my students. I enjoy seeing my students correct the teacher. When this happens, the student and I know that the lessons/tutoring are successful!

I started teaching piano and voice lessons for the School of Dance in 1999 and fell in love with teaching. I did some private tutoring of English living in AZ. While finishing my MAED, I substitute taught school and continued teaching private piano and voice lessons. Seeing the progress of my students as their abilities increased is all the motivation I need to continue to give private lessons and tutor. I had a piano student test into the Gifted and Talented Program at ASU on the first audition on piano when the student was 9 years old.

I have a Master's Degree in Education specializing in curriculum and instruction-Secondary level
