About Chris

I am both a piano teacher and composer, and I encourage my students to think about and feel deeply the music we study together.

I love that I get to be adaptable in my work. No two students are the same!

Knowing I wanted to teach after graduation, I began my private studio while still a college student.

About the lesson

I like to first have an interview with you and your child where I evaluate his or her level and capabilities...and where you can evaluate me! I'll then have the student purchase materials depending on their level and past experience and we'll schedule a weekly lesson time.

I've taught students ranging from 5 years old to middle age, and complete beginners all the way to advanced musicians.

Decide what your goals or expected outcomes for piano study are, and look for a teacher that can help you meet them.

My first full studio recital took place in June 2016 and it was my proudest moment as a piano teacher. Seeing my happy students gathered together after sharing their hard work with one another was a highlight of my year!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some questions to ask yourself: how much am I willing to practice? How high of a priority is piano for me? What do I want to accomplish as a musician?
