About Victoria

I am a music educator, performer, worship leader, songwriter, and coach with nearly 40 years of teaching, performance, and music ministry experience. I began teaching piano at age 14 and leading choir at age 16, and music education has been part of my life ever since. I studied music at Young Harris College, where I earned an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Music with studies in piano, voice, and organ. I continued my education at Appalachian State University and later completed teacher certification and graduate-level study in Music Education at Western Carolina University. Over the years, I have taught music in public schools, maintained private studios, served in church music ministry, performed professionally, written original music, and owned a creative arts studio in Nashville, Tennessee. I currently teach piano, voice, songwriting, acting, performance coaching, beginning guitar and ukulele, and early childhood music. My teaching emphasizes strong musical foundations, creativity, confidence, stage presence, and helping students develop a genuine love for music. Early childhood music incorporates singing, movement, rhythm, listening, and beginning keyboard skills in an engaging, age-appropriate way. I also use technology and interactive practice tools to help students stay engaged between lessons, and I provide quarterly student concerts to give students short-term goals and opportunities to showcase what they are learning. In addition, I mentor worship leaders, singers, and instrumentalists, including coaching in vocal and performance development, chord charts, Nashville Number System charts, band and vocal team development, Planning Center, ProPresenter, and MultiTracks. I currently serve as Director of Worship at Point Hope Church in Mount Pleasant.

About the lesson

Babies through Senior Adults.

Know what your goals are, then find someone who has the skills and abilities to help you reach your goals. Also look for a personality style that you can relate to and gel with. This should become a long-term working relationship that is built on trust.

Our Holiday Concert! Students (voice and piano) performed holiday pieces for an audience.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where am I now, and where do I want to be?

How much time, money and effort can I invest into reaching my goals?
