Joe has been instructing me for over 15 months. I am a retired older beginner with significant visual impairment. Learning to play the piano was something I wanted to learn. Joe is very interested in providing me with the tools and instruction that would help me to not just play notes but to learn to play music. Step by step he is helping me build my ability, with great patience and reasonable expectations that stretch my skills. He has a great passion for music and teaching and I am gaining more and more appreciation because of his guidance. He has shared that he enjoys doing this with all of his students whether beginners or advanced. Joe is very helpful in clarifying any questions to make sure I understand the concepts. I really enjoy and appreciate my weekly lessons with Joe.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Castricone as my piano teacher. I can honestly say that it was because of his influence that I began to find the beauty and intricacies of classical music. I formed a love for the piano early on and when you have a great teacher the love of the instrument and music shines through effortlessly. Joe was a very patient teacher who always cared deeply about his students. Due to a great teacher I have stuck with my piano playing and even had the pleasure of assisting with a group piano class to hopefully impart some of my love of classical music onto a whole new generation. I took piano lessons with Joseph on and off for about 10 years (from around the ages of 6 to 16). He was an absolutely fantastic piano teacher. He always expects the best from you, and will hold you accountable in order to push you to do your best - but he is also very understanding and patient. After a number of years of learning under the regiment of the Royal Conservatory of music, I didn't have the patience for endless scales and just wanted to learn to place specific songs; Joseph was completely understanding and flexible in his teaching, allowing me to flourish under the new learning style.

Joseph also taught my mother for a similar amount of time. He was a fantastic, undertsanding teacher to her, working very well within the limitations placed on her by her Dyslexia.

Joseph has an infectious passion for piano, and is incredibly talented. I would absolutely recommend him as a piano teacher for children and adults alike.
