About Brandon
I have a passion for the ear. More important than technique and the ability to read notes is the student's ability to hear what sounds good and what doesn't. Because that ear is the guiding force to make amazing music.
I started teaching my friends and their siblings initially. I found that since I'm young, I'm still able to recall what my piano teachers did well and apply the best parts to the students I teach.
I'm a classically trained pianist with a minor in piano performance from University of Southern California. I've been playing for 15 years, and have one multiple selective competitions.

I like to understand what kind of music the student wants to learn and what kind of commitment they have to learning that. I like to learn what motivates the student to perform.
I set goals that the student is excited about. To begin learning the music, I go over the desired interpretation with the student (yes, even if they're 5 years old) so they understand the piece of music.
Then we start!
Worked with students age 5 to 21. Having zero experience to having some experience.
The pianists are able to communicate their emotions with music. Hire a teacher you're comfortable to express your emotions around. Hire a teacher you'd consider your friend and who will support you in your endeavors outside of piano as well.

Brandon taught my son how to play chords and learn his favorite pop music on piano. He definitely cares about his students and will stay overtime to make sure they get the notes right and make sure they're happy with their progress. Have been going to him for 7 months every week over zoom now
Brandon is extremely passionate about his music and that passions rubs off on his students. My daughter worked with Brandon for 6 months. Before Brandon, she hated going to piano lessons but once she started with Brandon she loved it and started practicing without me having to say anything! Brandon has a great ear for music - and if you get a chance, ask him to play you some Chopin!
