About Diana

I tailor my classes to the student's individual needs to achieve the desired skill level. My classes are hands on - I feel that is the best way to learn.

I love to see the progress of my students! It is great when they are thrilled with the images they can produce consistently.

When I was president of The Professional Photographers' Association of NJ, I was asked to teach an after school program for middle school students. Seeing the progress of my students has kept me involved for years.

I have worked one on one with students, in small classes and have taught middle school programs in two different counties.

About the lesson

What are your goals? Every person is different so I customize each session to the needs of the student. I work with beginning to advanced students to help them create the photography they want to create. A basic understanding of photography is the foundation for all students to advance. If you are a beginner, we work so that you can understand and use your camera. More advanced students will learn about lighting, composition and photoshop. Photography is a never ending learning process. Each class will focus on different topics to help you be the photographer you want to be.

I have worked with students who want only to use their point and shoot better, begginers with a DSLR and advanced students who are ready to fine tune their skills.

Look for someone who deals with all levels of photographic skills. If you are a beginner you need someone who can relate and explain the basics. If you are an advanced student, you need someone who can teach the more challenging skills.

Recenty I had a student who had suffered a tragic loss unbeknownst to me. She turned to photography and found an outlet for her to get through the hardest time of her life. At the time I didn't know it, but teaching her photography helped her at the time she needed it the most.

Details

Classes are designed to be an hour and half - a combination of hands on, reviews and instruction. The fee is $75 for one person or $125 for a group of two.
