About Marlee

My business was founded to help people achieve a life aimed at growth. If we focus on the end goal of our actions, it keeps us from valuing the process of becoming the person we are meant to be. Growth mindset helps people fulfill their potential to become their best version. I have my B.S. Kinesiology- Movement Studies and a minor in Business Administration. I am also a certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. I have experience as a health and wellness professional and blogger in the alternative medicine field. I have a partial masters degree in Sport-Exercise Psychology under my belt which has given me extensive research and writing experience.

I have coached gymnastics since I turned 16 and got my license. I soon realized that my passion for teaching was not limited to the gymnastics gym.

About the lesson

First I get to know the student, their struggles and strengths. Once we figure out their learning process together, we use that to best benefit their educational goals. I am here to help them accomplish their goals so i make sure that the work we do together is leading us in the right direction.

Ages 6-18 for many different subjects. I prefer working with students on general study and learning habits but also can help students who struggle with English, math through algebra, writing, and anatomy and physiology.

Communication is key. If you do not feel comfortable communicating with your teacher, they will not be able to help you. Once there is effective communication between the student and the teacher, learning can occur.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do you struggle with? If it the content, the memorization, or maybe understanding the reasoning behind a concept? If a student tells a teacher they struggle with math, the teacher doesn't really know how to help the student. If a student comes to me with a problem with memorizing the definitions used in math, I have a clear idea of what they are experiencing and how to help them.
