About Ligel

Greetings, future students. I am an artist, an adjunct professor at the Rocky Mountain College of Art+Design (RMCAD), an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College, and a doctoral candidate at Columbia University’s Teachers College in the Art and Art Education program, specializing in teaching adult learners at the college level.

I have taught visual art and graphic design at the high school level for over a decade.

I look forward to being your instructor. I offer watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting classes, and I welcome any students interested in these painting mediums.

In 2006, I started as a teaching artist at Savannah State University's Upward Bound Program. In that role, I taught 10 - 12 grade students who were college-bound. We explored different types of artmaking from geometric abstraction to collage making to traditional observational drawings in and out of the studio.
