About Carol

I bring an intimate, friendly environment to my instruction. I like to add an element of fun to my teaching techniques.

I am flexible to range of travel to offer private lessons in your home.

To paint in watercolor is to immerse myself in the action of water, sun, earth, air and time. This creative dance brings epiphanies where I witness an action of watercolor moving through me and onto the paper.

I won my first art award at 5 years old. I've been an artist all of my life. I received a BFA degree in 2004.

I am an accomplished watercolor artist who creates extraordinary images of wildlife, portraits and images that inspire resonance to a subject. My vision as an artist is to heal the connection we have between ourselves and the natural world in which we live. With numerous awards and exhibitions, I continues to create insightful works that inspire, create change and allow us to look deeper into the astonishing world within us and around us.

About the lesson

I would start by discussing what they are wanting to learn. To make them feel comfortable with working with brushes and paints. I would demonstrate basic applications of watercolor and give them a basic understanding of the medium of watercolor.
