About Chaul

I teach all levels of student. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced performer, I would be happy assist you with your needs. I started performing in a chamber orchestra when I was in first grade and enjoyed it ever since. Eventually I decided to pursue a music degree in Violin Performance at Baylor University where I had the opportunity to be the concertmaster and tour in Europe. I also obtained a Master of Music degree at Rice University. During my studies there, I was honored to join the Shepherd School Symphony for a Carnegie Hall debut in 2014. In the meantime, I started teaching in grad school and had fallen in love with it. It matters to me to help youngsters nurture a love for classical music and realize their dreams. In 2015-2017, I held the Teaching Fellow position at University of North Texas where I was completing my doctorate.

I really enjoy teaching. After graduating with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance, I decided to open my own studio in Burleson TX. I would like help people who are music lovers to realize their potentials on a musical instrument and more importantly, to reach their goals as both a learner and a performer.

My friend in grad school invited me to teach at her house in 2011. I had fallen in love with teaching ever since.

I have always been a violin performer ever since elementary school. I chose to major in music (violin performance) in college and grad school. I started teaching in 2011 and have been a violin teacher since then.

I usually talk with a new student for 5 minutes and find out where they are on the violin, what their goal is in learning, and what made them choose to learn the violin. To me the importance of knowing the answers to these questions allows me to proceed foward in teaching. This way I can better assist students in learning.

I taught private students who age from 8-14 for three years when I was in grad school. From 2015-2017, I was a teaching fellow at UNT. My reponsibilities include private lessons, chamber coachings, and jury comments.

Make sure you know what you would like to accomplish in learning. Whether you are learning for entertainment, for hobby, or for profession, always have a short-term goal in mind.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. Do you own a violin? If not, make a decision on purchasing or renting.

2. Are you opposed to performing? If you are, you have to overcome the fear of exposing yourself in public. The more you perform, you more likely you will play better.
