About Stephanie

My name is Stephanie Twiner. I am a certified school teacher. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and a master's degree in special education. I work in an elementary school in Summit Ms. I have 12 years of education experience in grades K-12. As a teacher, I have worked with students of all ages. I have training with special needs and learning disabilites. Teaching is a calling for me. I treasure every minute of it.

I am enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile to help my students improve in their education. I get excited when my students are showing growth.

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. I have always felt the calling to teach. When my children got in school, I started substitute teaching in the local school. I finally decided to enroll on college and get my degree.

Bachelors Degree: Elementary Education and High school Social Studies

Masters Degree: Special Education

About the lesson

I like to give a pre-test to address students weaknesses. This is to ensure the child is getting the instruction they need to show growth. No one learns the same way; so I have many different methods for teaching students. As a special education teacher by trade, It is important to be able to reach students on their level not just by grade level.

I have work with all types of students from all walks of life. I was a student who had to work hard every day for my education. I hope to help others from my own experience as a student and an educator.

I would advise them to look for a certified teacher. Teachers understand your struggle. Common Core can be challenging for people that have no experience with it.

I am very fond of all my special education students. I love to see their eyes light up when they finally get concept.

Students should never be shy, or feel inadequate when asking for help. Everyone struggles with something. Be specific with your needs especially if you struggle to read or have a disability.
