New students are usually very shy and lack confidence therefore I start by getting to know their interests. I break the ice by talking about my strengths and weaknesses when I was a student and I use this to find out their strengths and weaknesses. I also inspire them by telling them about how I rose from being a student to obtaining a PhD in biology
Then I find out their challenges in the subject I am teaching. I also ask them about the pace at which they learn and what they plan to achieve at the end of a series of sessions.

My daughter felt very comfortable with this tutor from day one. He is friendly and professional. He made Maths very easy for her and she did exceptionally well in her exams!
As a parent, I can boldly say that this tutor is very professional and he made sure I got my money's worth. He taught my daughter fractions, decimals, algebra, percentages and indices. He is very clear in his speech and he is good at repeating what he has previously taught. I would definitely recommend him.
The teacher was very professional. He explains everything from top to bottom. He is also very patient and even when you ask a 1000 questions, he always responds.
