About Emily
I tutor physics for middle school - college, various math courses for elementary school - college, and grammar/writing/language arts for elementary school.
I have a M.S. degree in Physics and minored in Mathematics. I am a member of a national physics honors society and have taken courses at Harvard, MIT, Tufts, ESU, and IUP. I also have experience teaching children with disabilities and behavioral issues, including ADHD, ADD, ASD, ODD, SPD, slow processing, and temper tantrums.
My hours are flexible and I am willing to be interviewed in-person, by phone, or virtually. I am covid-19 vaccinated and I am willing to wear a mask if requested.
I am currently a volunteer researcher in quantum fluctuations and gravity and aim to become a college professor of physics and theoretical physicist. I also have research experience in number theory.
I am patient and try to use multiple approaches when explaining concepts. I like to incorporate different styles of teaching to accomodate different people's ways learning. I enjoy teaching both children and adults.
