About Ben
I am currently an instructional leader in DC public schools, working passionately with elementary and middle school teachers, students, and families to improve math skills. I am an expert in navigating the Common Core math curriculum and working with children to meet theirs needs to accelerate growth.
In my 9+ years as an educator, I have always enjoyed connecting with students and their families. When a student learns, practices, and masters new content, I beieve we are all succeeding. My success is inherently tied to theirs, and I take a lot of pride and finding a way to engage all of the students that I teach.

When working with a new student, I speak with the family and the student to develop a starting plan. From there, I work diligently to dig deep into the content the student needs to learn and work flexibility to keep the student motivated and engaged throughout each session and from session to session.
