About Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristi, and I have been teaching and tutoring math for over twenty-five years. I specialize in working with folks with math anxiety, and I believe that patience and kindness are the foundation for learning…well, anything, but especially math. :-)

My areas of expertise: pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. Middle school, high school, college—I’ve seen it all—and I have a soft spot for non-traditional, adult learners returning to school to further their education.

Special skills: telling really silly (dad-joke-level) math jokes. Giving even sillier, but effective (Ted Lasso-level) pep talks, and being WITH you on this learning journey not just spouting math facts at you.

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons offered by Kristen are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Wailea-Makena. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
