About Filbert

My tutoring services are intended for long-term success. When I work with a student, I can offer them not only knowledge on how to analyze a passage or solve a problem but how they can make their learning experiences at school at the more meaningful. I have the experience needed to advise them on how to make the most of their pre-career, curricular, and extracurricular activities.

What I enjoy most is being able to help build a solid foundation and passion for learning in young students. To be there for my tutees when they have their "a-ha" makes me excited to impart my knowledge onto them.

I started tutoring as a volunteer during my time in middle school. Over the years, I have found that teaching others has been enjoyable experience and have been able to develop my skills over the years.

I have attended Arcadia schools from kindergarden through twelfth grade. I am familiar with the factors that lead to successful learning in these school environments. Likewise, I graduated with A's in all classes and a 4.0.

About the lesson

Individualize learning is one my highest priorities. Each student has their own strengths, schedules, and other obligations they must attend to. When working with a new student, my first steps are to always learn the various factors that influence their learning. In doing so, I tailor to their specific needs so that they are in ideal conditions to learn.

I have worked with middle school and high school students. These students have included those taking remedial classes and those for whom English is a second language.
