I'd like to talk to them about where they are at in terms of their current curriculum, then go over anything that they feel like they are lacking. Then I can give them an initial test to see where they are.
I have worked with peers in highschool.
Look for a teacher that can get you interested in the material, or can otherwise keep you engaged in learning. If you are not comfortable learning from the teacher, you will have a hard time staying focused, or even wanting to learn the subject at all.
