About Norman

Hello,

I am a 27 years-old, first-generation Chinese immigrant, who graduated from University at Buffalo in 2017, with a Chemical Engineering Bachelor’s degree (GPA 3.7/4.0). I had completed my High School diploma and University Bachelor’s degree in the US, with a great understanding of the various mathematic courses and examinations. Fluent and comfortable tutoring in Chinese and English.

Throughout my academic year, I had been tutoring my peers in various math courses, where I had found my passion in teaching others. With some practice, I achieved a full score in SAT math, 800/800, I also helped many of my class prepare for their SAT test during my junior and senior years of high school. From those years of tutoring others, I had learned a lot in teaching as well. I offer my help not by showing them the right answer, but I show them the way to approach a math problem, how to dissect the question, how to select the right formula, and logically understand their calculations. I have confidence in teaching all levels of Math courses, up to AP Calculus, or College-Level Calculus 101.

Many believe math is a complicated subject, but in reality, math is a tool that can assist our daily life when it is used correctly. I can help you or your child build a strong foundation in their early education, teach him/her the way to approach a question with the right mindset.
