About Gabriela

Hi, I'm Gabriela! I'm a current UCF student majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. I approach tutoring with enthusiasm, passion, and an individualized plan that makes sense for my student's goals and their personality and learning style. I have a background tutoring my peers throughout school, especially in math, but I can also tutor in English, high school level Spanish, and most sciences.

My math qualifications include elementary, middle school, and high school, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Precalculus.

I'm easy to reach and will respond as soon as possible. Feel free to message me with any additional questions or if you're interested in scheduling a lesson.

I started tutoring my peers in the 8th grade. I formed a before-school study group where I would review our Algebra lessons and help clear up any confusion. From there, I continued on-and-off peer tutoring throughout school.

I am a current UCF student majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. I graduated high school with a 4.8 weighted GPA and have experience tutoring my peers in various subjects throughout my schooling. I specialize in math tutoring, but I can also tutor in English and basic sciences.

About the lesson

I start by getting to know my student and their goals. I assess where they stand in the subject they need help with and develop an individualized plan based on their needs.

I have worked with neurotypical as well as neurodiverse students, across ages 8 to 32.

I would say find a teacher you can connect with and feel comfortable around, who understands your way of thinking and doesn't shame any divergencies, but rather acknowledges and works with them. You want someone who will help bring out the best of you and use your best to help you approach the subject. Encouragement and safety to make mistakes are critical to learning; we often learn more through mistakes than successes, and if you're not in a safe environment to make those mistakes, you'll miss a huge piece in your academic development.
