About Jason
Welcome to my page! I am an experienced and results-driven high school math tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring students from the middle school level all the way through the graduate/Master's level.
My passion is to empower students to excel in courses that they may be struggling with. My sessions are fun, upbeat, and engaging. Students leave each session feeling positive and optimistic about their coursework which leads to outstanding results!
Every student learns differently and it is my goal to learn how my students learn so that they can get the help they need and deserve. A subject is only as difficult as the way that the teacher presents the content. I am a firm believer that with the right teaching method, any student can excel in any subject!
What do I Tutor:
- All levels of middle school, high school and college level math
- All levels of middle school, high school level science
- College science classes (i.e. Organic chemistry, Physics 1+2, Chemical Engineering courses, and more!)
- Test Prep (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT)
My Background:
I studied at Umass Lowell where I received a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a 4.0 GPA while working as a Teaching Assistant in the Chemical Engineering labs!
Prior to college, I went to a private high school in southern NH. In high school, I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry exams as well as achieving a perfect score on the math section of the SAT.
My Policies:
Payment Policy: Sessions are billed in 15-minute increments with a 1 hour minimum. Exceptions are made for certain circumstances so please ask if needed!
Accepted Payment Methods: Venmo and Zelle
Cancellation Policy: Due to high demand for tutoring, I ask that all students give at least 12 hours notice for session changes (ex. time change, cancellation, duration change)! Cancellations/changes within 12 hours of session will be charged for the session.
If you have an inquiry about math or science tutoring, please reach out and let's chat!
Degree: Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (4.0 GPA)

When starting with a new tutoring student, I focus on building a strong foundation of understanding and connection:
• Listen & Learn: I take time to understand their goals, challenges, and learning history—what works, what doesn’t, and what makes them confident or unsure.
• Understand Learning Style: Through open-ended questions and quick assessments, I figure out their learning style—whether they’re visual, hands-on, auditory, or a mix of styles.
• Quick Start: We dive into a topic or two to see how they approach the material, giving me a sense of their strengths, problem-solving strategies, and confidence level.
• Tailored Approach: From there, I adapt my teaching methods and tools to match their unique style, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated.
• Fun & Professional: I keep the lessons engaging and dynamic while maintaining a high standard of professionalism—learning should be both enjoyable and effective.
• Celebrate Progress: We celebrate all victories—big or small—to foster a positive learning environment.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a trusting relationship where the student feels supported, understood, and empowered to succeed!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What am I struggling with exactly? Is it the entire course, a chapter, or even just a single concept?
Think through times when you have excelled in the past. What is different now? Is it the teaching style? The type of course?
Answering all of these questions should start to show you why you are struggling!

Jason was great helping my 8th grader catch up on math and start feeling confident about the material.
We hired Jason as a test prep tutor for SAT Math. We were very happy with how kind and helpful Jason was with our daughter. Her confidence in math improved so much and it showed with her test score. Thanks again Jason!
If you need summer course help, I'd go with Jason. We met twice a week and it saved my grade. Thanks again
He made the concepts very clear and effectively worked through math problems to help when I was struggling. His tutoring helped me significantly with my grade and understanding what I didn’t pick up on in class.
Flexible with session times and always trying to find the best ways to help my daughter in her Algebra class!
Thanks for all the help!
Jason is dedicated and determined to help! For high school math, I was very happy with my choice. Flexible and extremely communicative! Thanks again!
Jason has been excellent helping our daughter keep up with her honors pre-calc course. Always comes prepared with lessons planned and goes above and beyond to help!
My daughter began tutoring with Jason a few weeks before her midterm. We saw outstanding improvements in her motivation in her class. She went from getting low grades on tests to a midterm grade above what we even thought was possible! For anyone looking for tutoring in high school level pre-calculus, Jason is the way to go! Always on time and ready to go and genuinely cares about the success and improvements of his students!
Highly recommended! Tutored my son in trigonometry and we saw strong improvements in his abilities. Thanks Jason!
Jason was a wonderful tutor. He was very outgoing and motivating with my son and I truly saw a change in my sons confidence in Algebra after each session. My son struggled with Algebra II early in the first half of the school year but the tutoring made all the difference! Jason is a worthwhile choice for math tutoring!
