About Khoa
I excel at 1 on 1 tutoring and I prefer this way as I am able to give what the student needs to effectively pass your problem class
The most joy about the work I do is when i see a student is struggling and with a subject, but with my assistance. I helped a student get from a 35 to and 85 on the test. Sometimes teachers do not have the time or energy to give the individual attention that students needs. That is where I come in and help as much I can.
I started tutoring math, physics and chemistry in high for community service hour. Soon other parents would ask me to tutor one on one. Soon after I began college would start tutoring on and off in math, science and engineering course.
I graduated from Kennesaw State 2017 with Mechatronics engineering degree. Mechatronics is a combination of mechnical, electrical, and computor science. So I have taken a very math heavy course load during college which were Calculus 1, 2, 3, Statistics, Ordinary Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I have also taken Algebra 1 and 2, Trigamotry, AP Calculus and Statistics in high school as I was taking advanced math courses.
I have been a tutor during college for 6 months so I am used to teaching k-12 in groups of 3's or 1 on 1 sessions. I have been a professor assistant during college and so I would do 1 on 1 tutoring. I was also a sunday school teacher and I am used to teaching in a classroom setting.

Typical process is to introduce each other and find out what the student needs. From there we will first work over the lesson again. Usually in math, the problem lies in the lesson or the keywords in word problems. Finally I will drill again and again the given problems from the books the student has or homework. This is to make the lesson have solid understanding
I have worked with K-12 and college students.
Some had difficulty with focus and some were hard workers, but overall I try to help with my best abilities
Do not be afraid to ask for help from me. If I need to slow down or speed up, to go over a lesson again, or just looking for off-hand guidance as you work through the problem. I will cater to your needs.
A student came in with their parent and ask me for 1 on 1 tutor. During the sessions, I found out that the teacher was not teaching the materials correctly and could bother help the students. The students last test was scored 35. We both worked on the lesson that the teacher gave her and we drilled on practice problems over and over again. With positive reinforment, the next text was coming and I started to she was getting more confident in her abilities. The student took the test and showed me the result. An 85 on the test. I was so happy and proud of this student as they came in stuggling, but now was able to confidently believe she could do better.
