About Shu
I am passionate about math and encouraging students to advance in all STEM fields. I have experience in tutoring math and economics at a high school and college level. I want to make sure every student feels confident and that they have the skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond in whatever they do.
I hold two degrees - a B.S. Applied Mathematics and a B.A. Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder. I will be attending UCLA to complete my M.S. in Applied Statistics in the Fall of 2020.
Each student is different and learns at their own pace and in their own way. I recognize this fact and adjust my teaching to help make concepts clear and easily understood by all.
I enjoy helping students gain confidence and resilience. I hope that I can show them that they are capable of learning anything through hard work and dedication. I am passionate about advancing STEM education and I hope that I can help students enjoy learning about science and math as well.
