About Mario
As a passionate Biomedical Engineer, I appreciate all subjects revolving mathemetics and sciences. I hope to extend my knowledge and make others passionate about science by helping them understand it through different ways of learning; whether it be verbal, visual or perhaps even anecdotal. I have a masters in Biomedical Engineering and am currently working towards my PhD. Having tutored many students in various different subjects over the course of 10 years, it has become apparent that all students may not learn the same exact way but they all do have the potential to learn.
I have been tutoring peers since freshman year in high school. Ever since then, I have been tutoring students throughout the years. Moreover, after entering graduate school, I continued tutoring students and also became a teacher's assistent that gave me more experience in teaching.
I have a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering; this has allowed me to take various college level courses in high level mathematics and a broad spectrum of basic science, i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Also, as a current PhD student, I have experience as a teacher's assistant given that it is part of my curriculum.

I try to gauge their level of understanding of the specific subbject. Instead of directly trying to teach and tutor them on the topic they don't understand, I try to see if there are underlying/basic principles that have been misunderstood.
I have worked with various students including those with learning disabilities or attention disabilities.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Most questions have multiple parts to the problem, where any single part can be confusing to a student. My suggestion would be to have the student try to break down the problem and see where they are getting lost. This will allow them to ask specific questions to the teacher and allow the teacher to reinforce the area in which the student is confused.
