About Angela
Hi! My name is Angela Pirtle. I have been tutoring since 2015 and have worked with students grades 3-12. I have my BS in Biology and my Masters in Education. I am currently a middle school science teacher but have also taught high school science and math. These positions allowed me to teach integrated science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry.
I work hard to find the learning style that is right for every child, and try to make learning fun. For me, there is nothing better than watching a child succeed at something that was a challenge. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to working with you!

When I begin working with a new student I like to know some background information that's not school related. What their interests and hobbies are etc. This helps me identify ways to motivate them and allows me to create references that they can relate to when working.
My first question for a struggling student is to ask them where they are having a problem. After watching them do a few sample problems and talking through them with a student we both have a good understanding of which parts need to be worked on and we will set up a strategy to overcome the challenge and goals to work towards.
