About Deepa

I have taught in public schools for the last 8 years from Kindergarten to middle school. I have also volunteered extensively and engaged in private tutoring. I brighten up the classroom atmosphere by teaching engaging lessons and making the class very interactive. In science, I incorporate hands-on experiments to help students understand the concepts better. In math, I focus on real world application of the concepts.

I am an engineer by degree but a teacher by choice, driven by passion for instilling a love for math and science into my students. I love teaching math and science to elementary and middle school students. In both math and science classes, I strive to ensure that the classroom remains enjoyable and stimulating for every student.

I have an Engineering degree to start with. I have passed teaching certification exams like CBEST and CSET Multiple Subjects Subset 2. I have taught in public schools for the last eight years and I have also private tutored many students.

About the lesson

Firstly, I try to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the student and then I will focus on the areas where most help is needed.

I have worked with students from kindergarten to grade 8 with different demographics and backgrounds.

Ms. Murthy is an excellent teacher. Her teaching strategies ensure that every child has understood the concept well. Her hands-on methods give children the experience to solve math problems and understand complex science ideas in an engaging manner. My child built a strong foundation due to her commitment towards success for all students and inspired her curiousity and love for learning. Thanks Ms Murthy for building these skills in my 6th grader. She will benefit from this in her future years as well.
