About Kevin
I am new to online tutoring but have experience in helping my classmates with math homework from elementary to high school. After HS graduation, I would also help my younger cousins for years. Currently, I would help my teenaged family members as needed. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in different science-related fields. But math has always been my first love! With my student-centered approach and level of patience, the student comes first and plays an active role in the learning process. Prefer to help via Skype or phone.
I have always had a penchant for numbers, thus mathematics became second nature to me growing up. Even now, I often think through a more mathematical lens. To maintain my knowledge, I enjoy watching videos that review math lessons. When I encounter a challenge problem, I will seek a way to find the answer.
I would tutor my classmates during elementary, middle and high school. During college, I would help my younger cousins with their math. Currently, I would help both of my teenage brother-in-laws with theirs. During my speech pathology master's program, I would teach language development skills for elementary, middle and junior high school students.
I have received education up to Calculus I (AP and College Version).

-Asking the student questions along the way and have them answer the question under my assistance. This makes for more interactive learning.
-When the student begins to understand the concept, have them complete the next problem/example by themselves.
-I will work on the problem myself to see if our steps and answers match.
-Any incorrect steps/answers will be further reviewed/discussed.
