About Dan
I have a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. I was an assistant professor at a military college for three years. I taught all of the core college courses: Single- and multi-variable Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Discrete Dynamical Systems, and a few more advanced mathematics courses.
Mathematics - starting with basic arithmetic - requires a solid foundation. Without understanding the basics, learners are ill-prepared to master new concepts.
I chose to pursue my Masters degree in order to return to my alma mater to teach. I felt that I needed to repay the lessons that I learned in my college mathematics courses.
