Although I seldom write reviews or recommendations online, I felt strongly enough about our experience with Lynn Cole to let others know about it, as well. What first drew me to Lynn for tutoring for our son, were Lynn’s credentials, which were above the fray, and that impressed me. I was also glad to hear she had some previous experience with kids with special needs. But in practice, I was wholly impressed with her academic prowess and flexibility in several areas.
Her academic flexibility is outstanding. Initially, we brought in Lynn to help my son with his algebra, but she was equally adept at guiding him through other subjects such as English, Social Studies and even some Spanish. Her care for how my son progressed was and is also impressive, as she prepared beforehand for his tutoring sessions with materials provided by the teachers, and made sure all assignments were covered. This was especially helpful, as my son has serious issues staying organized. During the recent move to online learning, Lynn helped my son (and us) stay technically connected as well. But probably the number one reason we were so thrilled with Lynn’s work was the connection she made with our son. Our son is especially reluctant to warm up to new people (he’s high functioning, but on the Autism spectrum), but Lynn connected with him in a way that made their time together so much more productive than it might have been, and encouraged him to do his best, and continue to improve and gain confidence.
I’m giving Lynn my highest recommendation for tutoring. Please don’t take up all her available time slots – we plan to continue to use her services throughout high school.

Lynn in very patient and kind with her students. She has helped me as a parent to know how to check for their work on Powerschool and keep up with their assignments. She is very knowledgeable in multiple, if not all subjects and offers a range of services. My kids ask for and look forward to her coming every week. Lynn starting tutoring my son when he was 4 years old because I felt that his current daycare was not sufficient for academic learning. She took her time with my son and was so warm and encouraging. His letter recognition skills and writing skills improved and now he has passed his peers. He's ready to start reading and he just turned 5. I wouldn't change a thing about Ms. Lynn. She so relatable, kind, smart and easy to work with. She provided a progress report at the end of each session and remained flexible throughout.

We have utilized the services of Lynn for the last 4 years, when our 2 boys were in elementary school. Now one is in high and one in middle school. She teaches them Spanish and Math mostly.
