About Joel
I’ve helped students learn for more than 25 years. My academic credentials include two masters degrees in education and a doctoral degree in education. I have taught at the university level and grades K-12. I hold a Professional Educator License in Illinois that expires 6/30/2023. I’m certified to teach K-12, bilingual (Spanish), ESL, English, Math, Social Studies. I currently support two public school districts as a K-5 substitute and bilingual coach. I enjoy watching students experience “aha!” Moments when they “catch on” to something they were missing when learning to do something new for them.
