About ESTHER

I go to school because I love expanding my understanding of the world around me. I have a passion for knowledge and would love to help other students of all ages embrace the process of learning. Ideally I will help the student break down the concepts into more managable pieces so the work ahead becomes more exciting than daunting.

My favorite aspect of this kind of service is watching another person expand upon the lens they use to understand and break down the world. Learning and growing is one of the coolest things about life and I really enjoy being part of that process for others.

About the lesson

First I get to know the student a little bit, ask a few questions about their educational goals and what subjects they find interesting. Find out where the student feels they stand in their current subjects and where they feel they would like to spend extra time. I then focus on the area they feel least confident and break it down in to the smallest pieces I can, help them understand the foundation and build from there. My main goal in tutoring is helping the student make the connections they've been missing to understand the material.
