About Jonathan

Focused on but not limited to tutoring the sciences including: biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, genetics, virology, biochemistry. Employing traditional and advanced study techniques to enhance comprehension and retention. Will travel to you.

I enjoy spreading the knowledge of the innner most workings of life. I understand the topics very well and can communicate the details in a way that is understandable, and memorable.

I started teaching youth wrestling while I was Captain of the Varsity High School Wrestling team. When I attended Airborne school in the US Army I was introduced to a stepwise format of hands on training, which has served me well throughout the years. Consequently I have trained many people of all ages to do many different things from painting and deck building to genetics and biochemistry. I was also a college English tutor for 1.5 years.

I has a BS in Biotechnology from the University of Maryland. I will be starting an MS program in Bioinformatics next week. I have accrued 230 college credits with more than 85 in the Life Sciences. The 3 most recent college courses completed are Biochemisty 430 (UMBC), Genetics 223 (UMES), Neurobiology 327 (UMGC). I have completed a 250 hr Virology internship ad am continuing my post graduate sudies with the same organization, focusing on anti-viral Mannose Binding Lectins. I also tutor the ASVAB for military entrance. I scored a 93 with a GT score of 123.

About the lesson

Identify a need, creat a plan, execute plan, adjust as necesary to acheive desired results. Instruct pupil in advanced study methods.

I have worked mostly with highschool graduates, college students and peers. I also have family members neices and nephews that I can communcaite complex concepts and processes effectively with. I also have a vast amount of experience in training adults of all different backgrounds and capabilities to perform complex tasks. I use multiple technologies and a multimedia study methods to enhance academic studies in all subjects. This is something I will be passing on to all of my pupils.

Hire a teacher that can aid you in maximizing your study time when they are not there with you. Your teacher or tutor should be providing you with study techniques that you will be able to use in multiple subjects for the rest of your academic career. Hire me.

I recently made a 10,000 mile road trip around the country to see all of my friends and family. I took 9 weeks. While in Montana I found Dinosaur bones 4 feet long! I have traveled the world for many different reasons but this is one experience that I never even considered would be a possibility.

Details

$60/hr with a 2 hr minimum. This will give me enough time to go over all of the information in detail. As I enjoy teaching and tutoring I will ensure adequate time is given to each pupil to address what ever needs are identified.
