About Ethan

I am a professional astronomer with over a decade of tutoring and teaching experience in Physics, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. I work as a teammate with my students to represent the fundamentals of science and mathematics in ways that are meaningful to each of their unique minds.

I am skilled at creating strategies to help them manage their coursework responsibilities while building mastery of the subject material at hand. I am also an experienced instructor of students with ADHD and Autism.

I have a PhD in Physics (Wayne State University, 2024), as well as a Masters (Wayne State University, 2022) and Bachelors Degree in Physics (Georgia Institute of Technology, 2019). I hope to help your student meet their educational goals!

I have a Bachelors of Science in Physics from Georgia Tech, and extensive research training in Physics and Astrophysics. I have worked as a tutor for six years with middle and high school students from a variety of academic backgrounds in math, physics, and chemistry.

I currently work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Wayne State University. I am trained to teach undergraduate level physics courses.

About the lesson

I meet with the student and his or her family in order to discuss academic goals for the courses we are working on, as well as any unsatisfactory grades or academic progress that has occured prior to tutoring.

During sessions I work with the student on upcoming assignments, review notes taken in class and answer any questions the student has about the material, and review missed questions on previous tests and quizzes. I can provide relevant practice problems in preparation for tests or use ones provided by the teacher.
