About Carlos

We offer professional online tutoring, unique online test prep sessions. Working individually with students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, an exceptional test prep tutor will develop a test prep strategy to reduce test anxiety, improve timing, and teach tricks. By using our individualized, fully online program, our students improve significantly, for example, for SAT 110 points on average.

1) Expert: I have 10 years and over 10,000 hours of teaching and private tutoring experience. I'm a Yale Alumni with honors.  I've attained near-perfect (97th percentile) on every test that I teach (SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, GMAT).

2) Patient, Perfectionistic and personable

Patient:  I am by nature a patient, friendly, and calm instructor.  I promise not to rush you or to make you feel stupid.  Learning is a humbling process, and everyone makes mistakes, including me.  We're only human!

Perfectionistic:  I am never satisfied until you understand 100%, and will put in extra time outside of our tutoring session to clarify my lessons or do further research on a question if necessary.

Personable:  Yes, I have social skills!  I can hold a relaxed, normal conversation, and I pride myself on my ability to connect with all types of students.

3) I never stop improving as a tutor.  He who thinks he has nothing left to learn is always wrong.  I constantly seek to master my craft through a variety of means, including reading every resource I can find and scouring the internet for good information.   After 18 years, I am happy to report that there is still so much left to learn.

4) I'm committed to your success.  I care about my students and will do whatever it takes to help them achieve their goals.  I understand that my services are not the cheapest, so I aim to prove to you that they are worth every penny.
