About Tyler

We tailor the students' experience specifically to their goals and needs! We carefully look at their learning style and assess it within the first few minutes of the lesson so we can effectively work and teach according to their specific learning style. No two students are the same, so I treat each student with a specific approach that will help them understand the concept with which they are struggling. I have been tutoring and teaching for 5 years and feel qualified to help anyone reach their goals if they are willing to put in the work!

I got started teaching when I was in my early High School years and I was working with a student organization that partnered with my local Elementary School to give them a High School student to work with and help them understand the concepts from someone closer in age to them. It was at that time that I started seriously considering a degree in Education and Teaching as a serious career field. From there, it has been trying out different subjects to see what interests me and I have tried everything from Math, Science, and Social Studies to Online Music Lessons to Musical Theatre to Health and Fitness and I am still exploring!

I am a current College Music Education major studying to become a Music Teacher but have tutored in Math, Science, Social Studies. Typically, I work with Elementary to Early High School aged students but am happy to work with and be adaptable to whatever stage your child is at in their learning. I am also a Personal Trainer who has helped many clients to achieve their goals through training and nutrition programs as well as adherence strategies for them.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student is to quickly assess (1-3 min) their goals through some basic introduction questions to get to know them and their learning style. After only that short time, I feel like I then know the student and feel confident in my ability to teach any learning style specific to them.

I have worked with many different types of students and like I said, I have become very good at very quickly assessing a student's learning style to help them achieve their goals which is something that they can not get in a large classroom setting in school.

If you are debating between me and a few other tutors here, that is perfectly fine! First off, I'm glad that you are reaching out for help because sometimes that can be the toughest step sometimes is admitting you need help. It's not easy and I want you to know that I will be here to not just give you the answer, but guide you to it every step of the way and even if you get lost, we just take a small step back and then another big step forward. So, you can go with any of these tutors on this website and I'm sure they will all be able to answer your question but here's what sets me apart I think: I will use positive reinforcement and specific targeted details to your learning style to motivate you and keep you engaged and interested to study and learn more about the subject.
