Mrs. Sargent is a pretty experienced teacher. Her classes are very interesting because she‘s a funny person. She also expands many other knowledge as long as you have any questions!

Mr. Sargent is the most patient teacher I’ve ever seen. He helped me solve my questions in many ways until I figured it out. His classes are relaxed and methodical!

If you a beginner or a slow learner: They explain some difficult and abstract concepts in a vivid and easy-understanding way. It is interactive and fun to have their classes.
If you want to challenge more or quick learners: they always have more challenging tasks waiting for you. They know a lot and teach them well, with patients.

Sargent was very kind and patient with students. She always try to first figure out what parts that students don't understand and then give specific suggestions and tutoring based on these materials to the students. She will also teach you how to draw the inferences about other questions from one instance. I always found her tutoring easy to follow and I can pick up the materials quickly by her explaining.

I worked with both Sargent for three years. I am very proud to meet both of them. They are very patient and like teaching very much. Both of them are knowledgeable and teaching with all one’s heart. I am not very interested in both Math and Science. However, I turned out like calculus because of Sarah Sargent. In class, she played puzzles with us because she wants us to think more critically. For students that are weak in Math, she will usually start with theory foundations so that students can consolidate the knowledge before they go in advance. In Science, Jacob Sargent is a “professor” in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I had both Physics and Chemistry with Jacob Sargent before. He knows very deep in science and can explain the scientific terms very well. He can also give examples for students in a way that is more easy to understand. Before exams, I used to spend the whole evening with them for final review. They are the best teachers and tutors that I have ever met.

If I have to describe the Sargent as teachers, I think Alexandra K. Trenfor’s quote will do A good job, “Best teachers are those show you where to look but don’t tell you what to see.” AP Calculus and AP Physics were quite challenging for a lot of students, yet the Sargent never fail to make the class fun. Even more important, they have what I called the “charm” to initiate the curiosity inside the students. Not only their classes contain the materials in the curriculum but also other interesting lessons. Their teaching methods challenge the students but broaden their horizons and perspective.

The Sargent is one of the few teachers that I can say are responsible for their students. They teach and lead their students with the mind of a leader and the heart of parents. They will never let their students off the hook or fall behind. Their office hours are always welcoming and I’m sure as tutors they will continue to do whatever it takes to help the students achieve their goals.

Mr. and Mrs. Sargent helped me through my sophomore and junior year at Hyde school. Mrs. Sargent helped me with Geomtry, and I can tell you it was very hard but Mrs. Sargent made my stress and anxiety at ease. She even helped me with Pre-cal. She was very helpful with anything I needed. Mr. Sargent was my discovery group leader who helped me with learning so much stuff about myself emotional, and mentally. He also helped with homework when ever I need it. I was very sad to see them both go but I know it was for the best. They are going for what they wanted and that is something that they always helped me do even if it was hard at times.
