I would like to meet the child and the parents/guardians to know the child's specific needs and learning styles. I'd also want to see sample school work so I know what to work on and not to confuse the child by teaching different things.
I work with students from 1st to 6th grade.
Find a teacher that respects your learning style and makes you comfortable and confident.
One of the most exciting things that I've done recently is hiking the Battleship Mountain in Superstition Mountains. It was a 12-mile hike of pure beauty. There were some tricky bouldering which made it very fun and challenging. The view at the top was worth it.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is the expertise of the teacher? Does he/she have experience working with children that might have the same needs as the student asking?
