About Ali
Create an authentic 1-1 relationship where I meet the students at their needs and create individualized lesson plans.
I love seeing the students' happiness when they accomplish something they have been working towards. I am currently a teacher and I love working with students in my class as well as 1-1. I have a master's degree in both general education and special education.
I started tutoring when I was in high school. Then I continued while in undergrad, had an intership in undergrad. Then I went directly to my master's program, which I finished accelerated and with honors (it usually takes 2 years but I finished in 1). I had a 4.0 GPA. In my master's I also had 2 internships.

I start off by first meeting with the student and asking them how they think math or reading is currently going. I like the get the student's perspective first. Then I talk with parents to get their input as well. This is especially important for younger students who might not be able to eloquently explain their thoughts. Then I start with some simple questions or problems to gage the student's level. From here, I develop lesson plans and work with the student to see their progress over time and adjust when necessary.
Students of all ages. I currently teach Pre-K. However, I have worked with students aged 2-22.
Make sure to find someone you click with. It is important to be able to have a trusting relationship, and one where you can have fun while learning.
