About Kristine
I am a reading specialist and mom to dyslexic boys. I have been working with struggling readers for over twenty years I have a deep knowledge of the science of reading and how to effectively teach struggling readers. I believe reading instruction should be systematic, explicit, multi-sensory and engaging. I focus primarily on building alphabetic principles, phonological awareness, and decoding skills by providing lots of opportunities for practice with corrective feedback to build fluency and automaticity in reading. My goal is to help students become strong, confident readers.
