About Charles

What I Offer:

-Tutoring for Math & Reading

-Homeschool Instruction for Math & Reading

-Specialized Math & Reading Intervention

If your child is facing difficulties in school, I can help. I offer one-on-one and small group instruction for Math and Reading. My goal is to provide instruction that fits the needs of each learner. Whether we are filling in learning gaps, catching up where we may have fallen behind, or working ahead for enrichment, I will dedicate time before and after sessions to plan and strategize for highly engaging and impactful learning.

Math Subjects Covered By Me:

Pre-K Math through College Level Calculus

Reading Instruction & Intervention:

If your child is struggling to learn to read in school, the problem is most likely the type of reading instruction they are receiving; or perhaps the lack thereof. I have an approach to reading instruction that is both systematic and individualized. My methods are science based, proving to be comprehensive and highly effective. By combining strategies to develop phonetic awareness with techniques to build reading comprehension, I help struggling and emerging readers master the art of reading, while also learning to read for pure enjoyment.

My Process:

We start with a free phone or email consultation to discuss your needs. Then, we will meet for our first session. Depending on the needs of the student, we may get to work right away, or we might start with a diagnostic assessment to further evaluate where to begin. Lastly, we will establish our learning goals, and plan for the duration and frequency of our sessions going forward.

My Promise:

To help every student I work with achieve a fundamental understanding of the content we cover, while making the learning process engaging and fun.
