About Eric
I began private teaching and tutoring in 1997, although I did a limited amount of tutoring as far back as 1985, while attending college.. Over the years I have taught mostly creative subjects like art and music, but I've also done tutoring in English and a little in math. I hold an Associate's degree in Fine Arts. I love to write and read, and I am an unpublished author. I enjoy teaching for many reasons, including the challenges and pleasures of guiding students into new knowlege...there is no better feeling than knowing that I have inspired and nurtured others along their life journey. I love to make learning fun - you know that you are an effective teacher when you and your students can find mutual enjoyment in the learning process. I am also a kind, compassionate person who is driven to reach out and help anyone who is struggling. I am a friend first and a teacher second, and many of my students have become friends for life!
