About JoAnn

I am a very experienced life coach and enjoy meeting new clients to see whether what they need and what I can offer are a match. The first Discovery Session is well worth the time, as you will undoubtedly come away with some new perspectives even before you start any coaching. Yes - it's that good!

I have always been in the business of supporting people to live their life to the fullest. Coaching has been my most recent venture to see how well that can happen.

I have taught at all levels of education and been an Administrator in several areas of education as well. I have been a college teacher, and love working with students. I also had a contract at Creighton University where I coached Faculty, Juniors, Seniors and Professional Students. I had that contract for 2 years. It was awesome!

I have a BS in Education from Kansas University, a Master's Degree in Ministry from Creighton University, and am an Internationally Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the ICF, International Coaching Federation. I am currently a trainer for the Academy for Coaching Excellence and provide training inside of organizations and companies to provide Coaching Skills for Leaders and Teams.

About the lesson

Spend 30 min. Initially to do the Discovery Session. Here we determine if coaching is the right service for the client, and also to determine if I am the Coach for this person.

This is followed by some in-depth work to discover exactly what has meaning and purpose for the client, then to set some goals and how to stay focused on what outcomes are desired. It's really fun and brings so much energy to their lives.

Oh - just said that above. Creighton University hired me to coach Faculty, Juniors, Seniors and Professional Students for two years. I was active on campus and worked with Professors who desired to have better skills and relationships with students who came to them for advice and guidance.

Be sure the Coach is qualified and certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Anyone can call themselves a coach. There is a big difference when a coach is trained and required to continue their coaching and education to renew their certification throughout their career. That is something I highly regard. There are some really great coaches out there - and those are the only ones you want!

If this is a coaching event, I'd have to say pretty much all of them. I have recently been working inside of an organization where I provided Training and Coaching and that is ongoing. I always enjoy my work and am so energized by it. That energy is very helpful to anyone who needs to discover and reach goals.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's important that, as a Coach, you have a sense of Trust and Confidence in talking with your coach authentically. Confidentiality is key for any coach to interact with a client or potential client. So, only choose me or any coach if you feel confident that you connect with the coach and that you can BE yourself, no matter what!

I have a series of packages. The first meeting is a 30 min. Discovery Session. It is usually complimentary, so no worries about not knowing exactly how much you will be investing to be in my coaching practice.
