Model UN Conference, Spring 2016
The United Nations Model UN Programme aims to build and maintain strong links between the UN and Model UN participants across the globe. It does that through guides and workshops, which teach students how to make their simulations more accurate; by visiting Model UN conferences and sharing firsthand knowledge of what the actual UN is like; and through encouraging Model UN clubs to take real action to support UN values and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Highschool & University Tutor, 2016-2020
Reviewed homework, helped prep for exams, and filled in gaps of knowledge the students struggled with. I adapt my tutoring to every student, spending the first few sessions fully understanding what areas the student needs help on the most and what their learning style is. I’m proud to say I’ve always been able to dramatically alter my student’s grades, but more importantly improve their outlook on school and learning in general.
Helping my younger sister. She was struggling with school and felt like it was her fault. Working with her helped me realize that wasn't the case. She wasn't "dumb" she just learns different than other people!
Years of tutoring K-12 & University Students. I know how education works. I graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering & a double minor in Computer Science and Honors. I've been in multiple honor societies (leading some of them) as well as robotics clubs, math clubs, history clubs, etc. I've also been in the workforce for years so I undestand the synergy of education with an eventual career.

Learn what makes them tick. What areas / methods of studying are easier for them, what are harder. Focus on the studens strength while trying to slowly improve their weaknesses. Never make them feel like they are inadequate or unable to learn, help them realize that they just need a different way of approaching learning.
K-12 and 4 year students at University.
Make sure you hire someone that wants to help you learn, not just feed you answers. It might seem better to just get A's, no matter how you get them, but in the long run this will hurt you way more than help. Find someone who wants to help you improve the way you learn, so you can eventually help yourself :)
Helping a recent student realize he was a kinetic learner. The joy it brought and the world of opportunity once he realized that was immensely satisfying for both of us!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to solve the problem yourself first, see how far you've come. Go over lesson notes, relevant info in the textbook, etc. to figure out some questions to bring. With these questions you have shown you tried to learn but are having trouble and merely need some extra help getting the rest of the way!

I take everything into consideration and pricing will always vary from student to student. I will always try and charge the least I can because I got into this to help students learn, not make a lot of money!
