About Rachel

NOTE: I do NOT have a horse of my own at this time for you to take lessons on. I instruct you and your own horse, at your own home or desired facility.

Hello,

I am a high school English teacher and tutor. I am available for tutoring in reading, writing, history, biology, agriculture, and some chemistry/math. I can also assist in proof-reading and developing resumes, cover letters, etc.

As a horseback riding instructor, I am certified through the nationally-recognized American Riding Instructor's Association. NOTE: I do NOT have a horse of my own at this time for you to take lessons on. I instruct you and your own horse, at your own home or desired facility. I have extensive experience as a rider, show judge, clinician, and as a summer camp instructor. I also tutor for competitive horse judging, or can just tutor you in evaluating your chosen riding discipline.

I am currently accepting video tutoring requests for both education tutoring and horseback riding instruction.

I am a certified teacher for the state of Indiana, specifically in English/Language Arts for 5-12th grades. I am also certified by ARIA as a riding instructor.

Typically for both educational tutoring and horseback riding lessons, I use the first meeting to feel out what a student's goals and current abilties are. I want to know what you have done in the past--what works, what doesn't, what experiences you have had, etc. I will use that information to start structuring our future lessons towards my student's ultimate goals.

I work with a wide variety of students from all different ages, disciplines, and backgrounds.

Find a teacher who works with your personality, and works toward YOUR goals, not just their own!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
- What are my goals?

- What kind of timeline do I need to meet my goals?
