About Margy

I grew up riding and showing English, and Jump Seat. We raised, trained and showed our own horses during boom of 1970’s when it was all the rage. We had Tennessee Walkers and Jumpers. I teach English only and all basics of riding and safety around horses. Can provide personal references. Contact me by phone to arrange first meeting to discuss your goals. Some just want to ride, some want to show. I drive to you and teach on your horse(s). I treat horses and people with polite decency and respect all life.

Lifelong riding and showing.

Begin with safety around horses, temperament and physicality. Students provide own helmet and anyone under 18  must have parent present. I bring a third party for first few, or all lessons until I know I am also safe and secure as well.

Depending on skill, I start with leading the horse before letting them ride on their own. I will ride some to demonstrate first. Riders provide their own horse or horse they use at a stable they have previous arrangement with. Those costs are outside of and separate from my training fees.
