About Jennifer

Hello, my name is Jennifer, I am currently in my last eight months of studies for my BA in History. I am an older student, I went back to school at 45 to pursue this career. I am passionate about American History and my focus was The Civil War and Slavery. I will graduate one month before I turn 50. Online tutoring would be a wonderful opportunity to share what I have learned with your student. I can write in APA, MLA, and Turabian style formats, can help with research, and I can also help with studying for a test or quiz. I am willing to give 100% to help your child succeed and it would be a great pleasure to aid your student in any way possible, to open their eyes to how important our History is, how to glean the information, and put that information down in a way that will equip them for success.

I think I have a lot to give, I always try to teach with an open mind, andi get the student can be frustrated by what they are trying to learn. I am a very funny person and find that humor can break the ice when studying. I believe it helps the student know that no matter what, this assignment will pass, and I would want th to look back at the tutoring experience to be one that really helped them.

I have currently finished all of the history courses for my BA in History, I have four core classes that I have to finish before August 26th 2023 which will be my graduation from college. My GPA is currently 3.077 and I am working hard to bring that up before I graduate. I am a people person and can help a lot with research, development of an essay topic, or simply finding ways to help whether it be with a History quiz or test.

About the lesson

I first like to talk to them via video chat to understand what their assignment is that they need help with, I then like to research th topic myself to find out what sources are available, and I will then help come up with a thesis statement on which to base their content on. If studying for a quiz I would help come up with strategies to retain the information and ways to recall that information.

I have helped my daughter in her college courses, mainly in essay writing.

History should be fun! It is not something to dread doing, it opens up knowledge of our past and helps us to understand where we have been and what we have overcome as a country.

In my Anthropology class this past term before Christmas break I was very close to getting a perfect score, I received 984.2 out of a possible 1,000 points.

I am just starting out, I charge $30 per hour, and promise to get as much done within that hour as humanly possible. I have helped several people in my family with writing essays, speeches, and cramming for a quiz.
