About Jesse

Although new to the tutoring world, I possess a true passion for teaching and helping minds of all ages grow and understand. My forté lies in geography and history with emphasis on American history and geography with an additional focus in military history. I'm also very well versed in international geography and history with a strong focus in African/Asian culture. I also have a very solid knowledge of Biblical history and chuch doctrine/religious studies. I truly love working with people and helping expand their knowledge: especially teaching and helping young minds. I employ a K.I.S.S. (keep it simple sometimes silly) method of teaching which helps make the learning process smoother and more enjoyable. Thanks for taking the time to check me out. I look forward to helping your child learn and grow.

Although this a new endeavor as far as tutoring goes, i have always had a passion and aptitude for teaching and sharing knowledge with others. My mom was a teacher at the middle school level for many years in Tennessee as well as North Carolina. I always taught and trained new restaurant employees at various skill positions when I was in that industry. I also taught and conducted wine education seminars while working in the wine industry. And I've helped people have a basic understanding of how they can invest money in the stock market.

I graduated in the top half of my high school class receiving Honor Roll Awards as well as perfect attendance. I studied Liberal Arts at the University of Tennessee moving to Atlanta in 1997. I have a culinary background which is where i spent time in the restaurant industry where I taught and trained before moving on to work in the wine industry for several years. I've spent the last few years working in the financial services sector. Now I am ready to move on to my true passion of teaching and helping young people to learn. I am an avid learner myself and have a true passion for sharing history and my love of geography.

About the lesson

To make them feel comfortable by implementing my version of the KISS method of learning. Learning should be fun and educational in order to maximize retention of the subjects we cover.

Restaurant professionals in both the front and back of the house. The General public wanting to learn and know about wine. Various individuals seeking to learn about investment opportunities in The financial sector. Also, My 12 year old daughter and her friends.

Make sure that you are matching the subject of your need/interest with a teacher who is proficient in that same area.

I recently attended a financial services webinar where it was interesting to see how my knowledge was up to speed with others who had been in it longer than myself.
