About Jacob

An education major at Western Michigan University. I am really good in writing and math specifically. I am about to graduate and I love working with students. I am about to graduate and I am confident in my abilities as a tutor!

I have not officially started obviously, but one thing that I plan on doing is not just teaching students content, but I want to teach students how to learn better.

I am a third-year student at Western Michigan University studying to be a Social Studies Secondary Education teacher with a minor in History. I have also been a cadet teacher for my high school back home, and although tutoring is something I've never done before I am ready for the challenge

About the lesson

My typical process goes from getting to know a student, working with the student to see what the student needs, and finally working with the student to create a study strategy

I have worked with high school students through my cadet teaching experience in high school.

My advice would be to find a tutor that genuinely wants to tutor to help you grow as a student. Not just a tutor who wants to do the job for the money. I would be very thankful for the opportunity to help you grow as a student.

A recent event that I am fond of came in my education class. I learned a lot about how I learn in ways I had never thought of. It was an eye-opening experience for me considering how different students learn and study.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should always consider whether the ways in which they are learning are the best strategy for them and their success. Learning how to learn is something that is very important as a student and hopefully, I can teach you the same!

Well, I am always willing to work with you to come up with a payment plan and an hourly wage, but preferably I am looking for around $15-20 an hour. More importantly for me, I am looking for the experience and I hope I can learn some things just like the students I will tutor!
